A 4.8 center ring of sterling has been hand-reticulated with a torch to create a random raw texture.  After soldering it to a wider 8 mm base sterling band, it has been hand- fused with heavy 23K gold foil.   This results in a substantial gold surface much stronger than any plated silver.  Such a fusing process comprises the ancient technique of heat and pressure application known as Keum Boo.  the base band edges have been hammer-textured for further contrast enhancement and contoured inside for a comfort fit.  Hightly polished, the rich colored gold is luminous.  This band offers a heavy, substantial feel and an organic elegance with a low-profile silhouette.
