Akoya Pearls with Rhodochrosite Stalactite /Black Diamond Pendant

A striking ,rare Rhodochrosite stalactite slice with an embedded Black Diamond is the focal point of this pendant.  I have organically fabricated it from Argentium silver to maximize the natural character of the gemstone.  The vivid pinks, greys, and creams of the pendant are mirrored in the silver-rose overtones of luscious petite baroque Akoya saltwater pearls from Japan.  These have been carefully handknotted on rose silk and accented with pink tourmaline beads to complement the overal color palette of the design.  Versatility has been incorporated into the design by making the pendent detachable to be worn on a slender chain.  The pearls can be worn as an independent strand clasped using the end hooks.  User friendly clasping of the pendant in front with the hooks, adds another great element to the design.  Argentium silver is noted to be brighter than Sterling silver and resists tarnish.

Rhodochrosite is an ancient, highly prized, and rare stone in stalactite slice form.  It is found mainly in the historic Capillitas Mine in Argentina.  This slice measures 30x23mm.and has been cut to maintain its raw borders.  the Black Diamond is rosecut, 4.32mm in size.  Pearls are excellent quality baby petite Akoyas with great luster, surface and endearing baroque shapes increasing their value.  All are handknoted on rose silk to complement the color palette of the necklace.  19 inches in total length.  Fully hand-fabricated silver compoments and overall construction.  One of a kind.
