• Gemstone Notes - Natural pink coral was previously harvested from the Mediterranean Sea or Pacific Ocean off Japan,Taiwan,and Malaysia.  Untreated natureal peachy-pink and pale 'angle skin" colors are more highly vaued.  Due to environmental conservation issures, untreated, natural stones are less available.   Biwa Pearls are natural freshwater baroque pearls that are composed only of thick nacre without a nucleus.  Their shapes and sizes are beautifully organic and highly unique.   Most are now harvested from freshwater mussels in China.
