Men's Mysian Ancient Greek Coin Ring in Sterling & 18K Gold

Discover a wearable antiquity statement ring with this museum quality reproduction of a Gorgon mask Greek coin from 500-450 BC, strikingly handcrafted in solid Sterling Silver and 18K yellow gold.  Coins of this period featured dual imagery with the front depicting a stylised, terrifying face of Medusa with exaggerated features intended to ward off evil spirts and protect its holder.  They were minted in the ancient Greco-Roman port city of Parion (Parium) where the minting of coins played a major role in the maritime economy of the era.  A high quality brass cast of the original coin has been heavily plated with silver, creating durability, affordability , and ethical preservation of the original artifact.  Commensurate with the ancient character of the coin, it has been rustically set in textured 18K yellow gold atop a double layer silver mounting and attached to a textured, slightly oxidized substantial solid sterling band.  Fully handcrafted setting in a one-of-a kind orginal design for the discerning man who needs nothing, but appreciates aesthetics and ancient history.    Size 10 fits the average male ring or third finger but can be resized if needed.
