Handcrafted Sterling & 22K Gold Statement Necklace - Detachable Baltic Amber, Kyanite & Tourmaline Pendant - Sterling Chain

It's been meticulously and thoughtfully designed to combine a vibrantly colored and geometrically interesting gemstone trio for maximal artistic effect.  A smaller blue-green cushion square tourmaline begins a casade to a larger cushion rectangular luminous blue kyanite, and terminating in a  bold Baltic amber oval with intriguing organic patterned inclusions. Each stone is bezel-set in textured sterling with a 22K yellow gold twisted wire surround and accent granulation.  A hand-applied dark patina on the sterling backplate creates a high-contract backdrop for the warmth of the rich gold  to pop the color of the gemstones.  With open-back designs, each gem is infused with optimal light transmission creating optimal color flash and captivating inclusional visualization. The sculptural character of the pendant compelled me to handcraft a complementary, integrated sterling chain and clasp.  Using a double oval disc in disc cable design linked by texted rectangular links, I created the chain to include a whimsical toggle clasp.  

Versatility is bonus benefit of this necklace design.  The pendant is fully detachable to render the chain for use alone or layered with other necklaces or chains for flexible style  Similarly, the pendant can be worn on a rubber, silk, or leather cord or gold/silver chain of choice for  a 3 in 1 design option.
